The Biscotti Kitchen
After years of practicing for gifts, The Biscotti Kitchen was born. The original recipe has been adapted and many new flavours developed. In the Autumn of last year, The Biscotti Kitchen won a bursary award from The BBC Good Food Show for Excellent British Speciality Foods.
What makes them different?
For starters, they come in 3 different sizes, allowing you to decide just how much you want to treat yourself. Secondly, there is a variety of flavours, from a traditional Anise, to the more exotic Coconut, Lime and White Chocolate, and thirdly, they are made in a nut-free environment catering for those with allergies.
Biscotti are made with wheat flour (apart from wheat-free range), sugar, baking powder, and eggs as a base, then flavoured with either dried fruit, fresh citrus zest, chocolate, or herbs and spices, depending on which flavours you have. Flour is organic and from a local mill, eggs are local and free-range, Callebaut chocolate is used as by many chocolatiers, cocoa and sugar are Fairtrade, and there are no preservatives used.
